This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
